How to get your campaign online

  • Step 1: Shop and Purchase

    Look over our template collection, all built for Squarespace. Once you find the one you like, click Purchase Template with your preferred option: Template Only (DIY), Design it for me (Hire us!), Rapid Design (Live in 2-3 business days).

  • Step 2: Gather Assets and Prepare your Content

    Begin gathering materials for your new website as soon as possible if you haven't done so already. After your purchase, you'll receive an email within 24 hours outlining which assets are required, which ones are helpful, and which are optional. Contact us with any questions.

  • Step 3: Template Delivery

    Within 2 business days of purchase, we'll send your new Squarespace template with a free 6-month trial. If you don't have a Squarespace account, you'll need to create one. Once you accept the invitation, the template is yours to customize with your brand and message.

  • Step 4: Laying the Foundation

    Your first step will be to personalize your template basics: copy (your messaging), logo, and connecting your social accounts.

  • Step 5: Designing Your Website

    This is where the real magic begins, and your website truly starts to take shape with purpose and power. Carefully follow the points laid out in the emails sent to you after purchase to confidently transform your basic template into a fully functioning Online Campaign HQ that drives results and rallies support!

  • Step 6: Check twice, Launch Once!

    An old woodworking adage is to “measure twice, cut once”. This is true with website editing as well. But don’t worry, unlike woodworking websites are very forgiving.

    Once you think your website is ready to go live, go through our Pre-Launch Website Checklist to ensure your site is ready to go live.

  • Step 7: Go for LAUNCH!

    Now that you have edited to your heart’s content and verified everything is working properly and ready for the world to see, purchase a Squarespace hosting plan, connect your domain, and launch!

All you need to go live:

  • Domain: If you don’t have one yet, you can purchase through Squarespace.

  • Squarespace Hosting Subscription: Prices vary, but all you really need to have a smooth-running website is the Core Plan.

  • Content: Created by you or your team, your ‘Copy’ (content about your campaign) is important and should come from you or someone on your communications team.

  • Assets: Pictures truly are worth a thousand words, uploading the right images may be worth a thousand votes!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We offer three package options. Every template and website includes all you need for a winning campaign. Our prices are low because we believe helping you win benefits everyone - including the Conservative Toolbox family - and leads to a stronger, more stable economy.

    • Template: Client purchases and edits the content as they see fit.

    • Template+ Help: You have the option of hiring Conservative Toolbox to edit your template with your supplied assets

    • Full Design: We will work directly with you to create a highly customized website that shares your brand and messaging that will separate your website from others.

  • In truth, a complete website design is really at your speed.

    1. When you purchase a template, you are only limited by the speed of your uploads.

    2. When you Hire Us, the quicker you supply the assets, the quicker we can go to work building your website, the quicker you can go live.

    3. When you go for Full Design, it can be anywhere from 10 to 30+ days. If you are ready to go and have accumulated all content copy, assets, and imagery then you can plan on a quick turnaround. In truth, no guarantee can be given safely but we will work to get your site up as quickly as possible.

  • Either one works for us! We can either purchase a new custom domain for you, or we can link your current domain to your newly created website.

  • You will need to purchase a Squarespace hosting subscription and a domain name if you don’t already have one. Beyond that, other discretionary costs may include purchased images or graphics, plug-ins, or outside apps and tools.

  • We do not create content… Nobody knows your message better than you, your campaign manager, or your in-house supporters. To ensure your messaging falls in line with your campaign parameters, we strongly suggest you engage with someone to help create content.

    However, we will work to add whatever content you supply into your website and help make your messaging clear to your supporters.
